Epcot’s “Food and Wine Festival” 2015 – Part 1
I finally got to see my good friend, Julius, well-known food blogger and creator of www.droolius.com. Julius mentioned a few new dishes that would be featured at this year’s food and wine festival and I just had to try them out.
My friends Julius and Odessa. First round started at the Dominican Republic Booth.Roasted Pork with Mangu Pickled Red Onions and Avocado.Pescado don Coco – Seared Grouper, Pigeon Peas, and Rice with Coconut Sauce.
Caramel Flan with Roasted Pineapple, Souffle de Yuca topped with Griddled Cheese. In Australia, we had the grilled lamb chop with mint pesto and potato crunches.
In Mexico, we tried the Chilaquiles de Pollo: corn chips layered with seasoned chicken, queso fresco, sour cream and cilantro; Pastel de Elote con Queso: sweet corn cheesecake; Tequila Flight; and Guava Margarita. My belly was so full, but the best part was being able to hang out with friends who are also fellow foodies. Remember, sharing is caring. To be continued…
