Nakanari’s Top 10 Favorite Food of 2015
It’s sad to say but 2015 is coming to an end. I’m so glad I was able to accomplish so much this year and that I was able to embark on a super awesome food journey!
I got to try so many delicious foods both locally and overseas, so I decided to pick my top 10 favorites for the year. I included coffee, dessert, and entrees.
Let’s start with #10: Donut King’s Breakfast Sandwich. Depending on which Donut King you visit, you may not see it on the menu, but if you ask for it, they’re more than accommodating.
I love that their donuts are made fresh. One of my personal favorites is their glazed donut, which when it sandwiches egg, cheese, and bacon, makes it so savory, giving you a sweet and salty flavor.
#9: Pig Floyds Urban Barbakoa’s Oakwood Smoked Brisket with Apple Fennel Slaw and Grilled Corn On The Cob.
#8: Disney’s Sleepy Hollow Sweet and Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich (available during lunch time only). This spot also offers some really cool waffle selections so I would highly recommend that you check out the rest of their menu while you’re there.
#7: Aki Japanese Restaurant’s Kaisendon features a bowl with a fresh variety of fish.
#6: Common Grounds Coffee and Roastery, featured in my previous blog, “Spiki’s Java Adventure” and is located in Jakarta. Their coffee is fantastic and on another level!
#5: Depot Mie Makasar in Surabaya. The Indonesian fried rice and Nasi Goring was absolutely delicious!
#4: The Matcha Café located in Surabaya. I’m a huge fan of anything matcha-flavored so this ice cream was my top choice. I wish I could eat this this every day.
#3: Sate Bawah Pohon Legian. For BBQ lovers, this will blow your mind!
#2: Ruth’s Chris Steak House’s Cowboy Ribeye.
#1: Krungthep Tea Time’s Cha-Cha crispy brick toast. This new, local spot is a Thai fusion café with amazing desserts and fresh, quality food.
I wish you all an awesome new year and delicious food adventure in 2016. Happy Eating!
